Aguilera to Release Double Album

After practially leaving the music scene, Christina Aguilera is set to release her first CD in almost 4 years this fall. It has now been confirmed that this Jazz/Retro influenced CD will be a double disc set. The title of the album is Back to Basics, and it will be released August 15th. Aguilera is excited about this "new sound," and describes it as a throwback with modern-day beats but Jazz, 1920's, Blues, and Soul elements.

Youngbloodz Arrested

Sean Paul and J-BO, the two members of the rap group, "Youngbloodz," were released on bond this weekend from a Coweta County jail. Their tour bus was in route to Columbus when it was pulled over on I-85 for having an expired Florida tag. After smelling marijuiana the Coweta County police searched the bus finding approximately a half pound of weed and two pistols. A band spokesperson said the they have never had trouble with the law and will be exonerated from the charges.

New DMB Album

Over the last few months, the Dave Matthews Band has spent time recording in their newly acquired Charlottesville studio. Although no particular details have been released, Matthews revealed in a recent interview that the new record will have a more aggressive live sound. It has been confirmed though that band is colaberating with other musicians, including trumpet player Rashawn Ross. The album will be produced by Mark Batson. The follow up to the platinum album "Stand Up," is expected to be released at the end of this year or early '07.
